02 / Motion data

When you actively start a set, the Apple Watch reads accelerometer, gravity and rotation measurements to detect likely push-ups. This processing happens on the Watch.

Production builds do not retain the raw motion stream. After a set, Ghost Race retains only the accepted repetition times, repetition count, duration, race result and detector version needed to build ghosts, compare races and show history.

Ghost Race is not a medical device and the motion signal is not used to evaluate your health or exercise form.

03 / Camera data

If you choose Race with iPhone Camera, Ghost Race requests camera permission and analyses live frames on the iPhone to locate body joints, confirm framing and detect likely push-up cycles. Processing occurs only during camera setup and an active set.

Ghost Race does not take or save photos, record or save video, retain camera frames or body-joint coordinates, or send them to the developer or a third party. Only accepted repetition timestamps, the resulting race summary, capture source and detector version are retained.

Camera mode counts movement cycles for gameplay. It does not identify you, evaluate technique or provide medical or form analysis. Camera access can be denied or withdrawn in iOS Settings.

04 / Practice, race and app data

Ghost Race stores practice and race information locally on your devices. Depending on the attempt, this can include an identifier, date, capture source, goal type and configuration, target distance, accepted repetition times, a manual practice-count adjustment, total duration, result, ghost used, whether a competitive count issue was flagged, and the app's detector version.

App preferences, free-preview state and the verified Pro entitlement needed to unlock features are also stored locally. The developer does not operate an account system and cannot view, retrieve or recover this information.

05 / Paired-device transfer

Race summaries are transferred between your Apple Watch and paired iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity services. Subscription status is sent in the opposite direction so Pro features work on the Watch.

These transfers are between your paired Apple devices. They are not sent to a Ghost Race server or made available to the developer.

06 / Purchases

Ghost Race Pro monthly/annual subscriptions and the lifetime non-consumable purchase are sold and verified by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Ghost Race reads the verified product identifier, transaction state and, for subscriptions, expiration date required to unlock Pro. The developer does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Apple processes purchases under Apple's Privacy Policy and applicable App Store terms.

07 / Analytics, ads and tracking

Ghost Race contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. It does not create advertising profiles, track you across apps or websites, or sell personal data. The app contains no advertising and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

The app may write ordinary diagnostic messages to Apple's local system log to help diagnose a problem during development or support. Ghost Race does not transmit those logs to the developer automatically.

08 / Data we do not access

Apart from the optional live camera processing described above, Ghost Race does not access HealthKit, location, microphone, contacts, the photo library or advertising identifiers. It does not ask for your name, age, email address or an account inside the app. Audio cues use speaker playback and do not record sound.

09 / Website and support email

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, external fonts or contact forms. It does not send information to Ghost Race when you read it.

If you choose to contact support by email, including through Report a count issue in Settings, the developer receives the email address, message and any information you include. The app may prefill a diagnostic template, but it does not attach video, camera frames, raw motion, race history, device identifiers or logs automatically. You can inspect and edit the message before sending it. That information is used only to answer the request and resolve the issue. Avoid sending raw motion logs or other sensitive information unless specifically needed. You may ask for your support correspondence to be deleted, subject to any legal record-keeping obligation.

10 / Storage and deletion

Race history and entitlement state remain locally stored for as long as the app remains installed or until the operating system removes them. Deleting Ghost Race removes its local data from that device; a summary already transferred to a paired device may remain there until the app is also deleted from that device. Because the developer does not receive the data, there is no server-side copy to retrieve or delete.

Subscription records held by Apple are controlled through your Apple Account and are governed by Apple's retention practices.

11 / Children

Ghost Race is not directed to children under 13 and the developer does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Exercise should be performed only when appropriate for the user's age, health and ability, with adult supervision where needed.

12 / Your rights and controls

You control the app's local data by keeping or deleting Ghost Race from your devices. Because the developer does not receive this data, the developer cannot access, export, correct or delete it remotely.

For personal information sent in a support email, you may request access, correction or deletion by contacting the address above. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

13 / Changes

If this policy or Ghost Race's data practices change, this page and its effective date will be updated before the new practice is used. A material change may also be communicated inside the app where appropriate.
